From Diagnosis to Treatment: Effective Management of Anxiety Disorders
Activity description
Anxiety disorders are highly prevalent yet frequently underdiagnosed and undertreated in clinical practice. Enhancing clinician’s awareness and ability to identify anxiety disorders early and to their overlapping symptoms with other conditions, develop evidenced-based treatments strategies, recognize the associated risks of benzodiazepines use and implement safe prescribing practices is needed to close the gaps in practice. This live webcast will discuss anxiety disorders, how to apply DSM-5 diagnostic criteria, and utilize evidenced-based treatments with both pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments. Interprofessional collaboration to optimize care and improve outcomes for individuals with anxiety disorders will also be highlighted.
PLEASE NOTE: These materials are intended ONLY for those who attended the live webcast held on December 12, 2024 from 2:00-3:00 pm CT.
