These materials are only intended for those that have watched the materials from the live activity held on October 24, 2023.
In this activity, participants will be provided with an overview of the therapies offered by rehabilitation and sports medicine services. The various locations offering these services and the specific offerings of each location will be reviewed. Through a discussion of the distinctions and overlaps between physical therapy (PT), occupational therapy (OT) and speech therapy (SP), participants will be equipped to make informed referral decisions for their patients. Lastly, attendees will be guided on the protocols and best practices for placing orders for rehabilitation services, ensuring timely and appropriate care tailored to their patients’ specific needs.

Target Audience
This activity is designed to meet the educational needs of of nurse practitioners, PAs and all APCC that want to learn more about rehab and appropriate ordering of services.

- Differentiate between the rehabilitation medicine services offered at the various locations discussed.
- Identify appropriate referral pathways for PT, OT and SP based on patient needs.
- Describe how to place accurate and effective orders for the specific rehabilitation services required.
