Target Audience

This activity is designed to meet the educational needs of nurses and other health care professionals (HCPs) who are interested in learning about polypharmacy and deprescribing.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this educational activity, participants should be able to:

  • Define polypharmacy.
  • Discuss the risk factors for adverse drug and side effects with polypharmacy.
  • Identify tools for polypharmacy screening.
  • Recognize of the concept of deprescribing.
  • Explore techniques for deprescribing and reduce polypharmacy.
