Clinician leaders are responsible for the satisfaction and retention of their clinical employees. Learning inclusion, diversity, equity and accessibility leadership allows them to foster an inclusive environment where their clinicians thrive, and in turn so do the patients. 

IDEA training also fosters effective collaboration within multidisciplinary healthcare teams. By understanding and respecting the diversity of their colleagues, clinicians can contribute to a more cohesive and supportive work environment. During the full day 7.5 hour in person session, participants will learn IDEA foundational best practices.

This activity is designed to meet the educational needs of for clinician leaders that have direct reports or influential leadership needs.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this educational activity, participants should be able to:

  • Identify how diversity dimensions and leadership style impacts the workplace culture.
  • Realize how different perspectives shape views of others in the workplace. 
  • Determine a leader’s self-awareness about their current hiring practices.
  • Develop proficiencies to reduce bias and identify the value of hiring diverse teams.
  • Discuss case studies then identify and apply best practices.
