This activity will discuss the relationship between loneliness and poor psychological adjustment, social isolation, depression, decreased mobility and cognitive decline.

This activity will address updates in evidence-based PM screening strategies, diagnosis, and treatment approaches. It will review the unique challenges faced by women in the perimenopausal stage and discuss the range of physical, emotional, and cognitive symptoms commonly experienced. Participants will be empowered to participate in shared decision-making through improved communication with patients experiencing PM.

This activity will review the symptoms and signs of SM, provide an overview of new and current therapies and identify SM guideline updates. The value of an interdisciplinary team–based approach along the continuum of care for affected individuals will also be discussed as a definitive step toward optimizing outcomes. 

This activity focuses on enhancing participants’ knowledge and skills in the legal and ethical aspects of healthcare coordination and communication. It will highlight the essential elements and requirements of a valid lawsuit and will address care coordinators’ ethical responsibilities regarding standards of practice, codes of conduct and ethical decision-making. Participants will review accurate documentation practices that ensure compliance and improve interprofessional communication and will come away with additional insights into navigating legal and ethical challenges they may encounter in their practice.
