This activity will emphasize thorough cardiovascular assessment using the PQRST mnemonic and will discuss clinical considerations for elderly patients with a focus on integrating current guidelines and evidence-based care aligned with US health care practices.

This activity will provide education about the current statistics, incidence, and indicators of anorexia and examine the populations at increased risk for this illness. It will elaborate on the mental health effects of this disease and the relationship between diagnosis, treatment, and positive health outcomes. Interventional strategies, both preventive and treatment-based, will be discussed and will include a focus on the responsibilities and stressors that affect caregivers. Best practices that include improved communication among health care professionals, support for caregivers, and the integration of social/community support services will also be examined.

Throughout these activities, faculty will discuss the keys to optimize the management/benefits of individuals with cancer. Participants will hear about current topics and exciting advances in the field of oncology.

This activity will discuss the role of the caregiver, identify barriers to caregiving, establish strategies to support the caregiver and determine available support resources to assist in maintaining the caregiver’s well-being.
