RN READY: Update on Clinical Judgment in Nursing with Respect to US Practice: Roles of Nurses in the Diagnostic Process

Activity description

This three-part series of interactive modules is designed to enhance nurses’ diagnostic and decision-making skills, with a focus on utilization management, cognitive bias in clinical reasoning and critical thinking frameworks. Through a blend of theoretical knowledge, practical application and case study analyses, participants will explore critical aspects of clinical reasoning, address common cognitive biases in diagnostic processes and apply critical-thinking principles to complex medical scenarios. These comprehensive activities will equip nurses with knowledge that will improve patient care in alignment with the standards of care delivery in US health care practices.

Nurses (PRC – Philippine Council of Nursing)
This activity is accredited by the Professional Regulations Commission – Continuing Professional Development. It is worth 9.00 PRC CPD Units as prescribed by the PRC-CPD council for the profession of Nursing. This activity will take ~7 hours to complete. 

PRC CPD units will be issued ~30 days after the learner has completed the activity and has been validated.

Nurses (ANCC – US Nursing CPD)
The participant will be awarded up to 7.00 contact hour(s) of credit for attendance and completion of supplemental materials.

Nurse practitioners
The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Program (AANPCP) accepts credit from organizations accredited by the ACCME and ANCC.

Attendance
A certificate of attendance will be provided to learners upon completion of activity requirements, enabling participants to register with licensing boards or associations that have not been pre-approved for credits. To apply for credit types not listed above, participants should use the procedure established by the specific organization with which they wish to obtain credit.
