Alzheimer’s, Dementia, and the New Disclosure Law (On Demand)
Activity description
These materials are only intended for those that have watched the on demand materials for Alzheimer's, Dementia, and the New Disclosure Law.
Recently, a new state law in Massachusetts set new responsibilities for healthcare professionals (HCPs) around training and education on the diagnosis, treatment and care of patients with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, and other cognitive impairments. This activity will focus on the implications of the newly enacted state law regarding disclosure of Alzheimer’s disease status to family members of the patient, and the associated responsibilities of the HCP. In addition, participants will examine the evolving nature of Alzheimer’s research and treatment. Important issues in the workup and treatment of patients with cognitive decline will be identified.
