Activity description
Heart failure remains a leading cause of morbidity and mortality. Heart failure treatment requires a multifaceted approach involving patient education, optimal medication administration and evidence-based practices for heart failure management. Guideline-directed medical therapy (GDMT) is the cornerstone of pharmacological therapy encompassing clinical evaluation, diagnostic testing, and both pharmacologic and procedural treatments. This on-demand webcast will outline heart failure classifications and discuss evidence-based practices for heart failure management, including GDMT. Accurate, complete heart failure documentation and coding that reflects an individual’s current health status at the highest level of specificity will also be highlighted.
