Social Determinants of Health: A Panel Discussion

Activity description
According to the World Health Organization, social determinants of health (SDOH) are “the conditions in which people are born, grow, live, work and age.” There is increasing awareness that SDOH affect physical and mental health outcomes. Understanding an individual’s SDOH can help uncover social and behavioral factors that impact their health. This discussion will address the impact of SDOH for improving overall health, and also for reducing health disparities that are often rooted in social and economic disadvantages.
